Dear Sir,

We have been informed by the embassy of the Russian Federation in Dublin that a group based in your center is planning to lanch a Russian newspaper in Ireland.
We would like to inform you that is currently such a publication in existence, it is called "Gazeta" and it's distributed Nationwide by Eason's and through specialist Russian outlets. This publication has the full support:
- of the Irish-Russian enterprise center as well as
- the Russian Embassy and
- Russian commercial counsellor as well as
- The newly opened Russian Patriarch Orthodox Church in Ireland.
As I'm sure you know there is approximately 18 000 Russian-speaking people living here and it is our firm belief that such a small market can only accommodate successfully one such publication. Therefore after a full evaluation the Irish-Russian Enterprise Centre will not be able to support, in any way, another Russian language newspaper.
